The Breccbairdne is an ancient Irish stanza form of four lines with five syllables in the first line and six syllables in the following three lines. Each line must end with a two syllable word. Lines two and four rhyme. Each stanza ends with the same word or phrase with which it begins, as described and demonstrated in the following links:
