This is probably going to sound odd but, as someone who commutes a long distance with lots of options for how to get from Point A to Point B in a major metropolitan area, I've taken to making spur-of-the-moment navigation choices rather than planning in advance. Maybe today I'll take CA-55 to I-5 to CA-134 to get to work... but maybe I'll head home by taking CA-134 to CA-57 to I-5.

The traffic in LA is terrible any way you slice it, so it's just a matter of what freeway sightseeing I want to do as I drive past at 5 mph. *Laugh*
