Trip to British Columbia to visit my husband's family. Vancouver was pretty, but the farther north we drove into the mountains, the more beautiful it became. The trees, mountains, rivers - everything so vibrant! And there was actual snow coming down while we were driving through the mountains in June! Being from Texas, I had never seen such a thing in person. I could have stayed in B.C. indefinitely.
There was one drawback. We went for a hike at Forests for the World in Prince George. The place was amazingly beautiful, but the mosquitoes were huge. And we could see clouds of no-see-ums flying toward us the deeper into the park we went. We had to cut short our hike and head back toward the car, then find a pharmacy to purchase bug bite cream. But save for the bugs, we had a wonderful time.
