Usually subject matter, especially the history of colonial New England and New York. I was adopted, and learned of my birth parents only a few years ago, so exploring my past has become an obsession.

Also Ali Velshi's (CNN journalist) Banned Book Club. I've read some excellent books, and learned how tragic it is that conservative America would try to dissuade or prevent people from reading these.
