Re: DISCUSSION: Commitment
Life has gotten in my way a lot recently with 6 surgeries in two years. My writing has paid a dear price which I decided to ratify last month. I have Julia's book and have used it several times to get back on track. I did again this time. I'm doing morning pages everyday. I love writing with a pencil, the scratching sound of the lead is soothing to me. I committed myself to 30 poems in 30 days which so far I've done. I'm reading a minimum of a half hour a day about story structure and another half hour a day for Rachel's reading club. I've been blogging again which feels really good.
I want to go to Red Rock canyon for my artist's journey award but my knee isn't quite ready but I am definitely working toward that goal.
Next month I'm going for a short story a week as my goal in addition to my blogging.
Goals are huge, no matter how big or small.
