Question of the Day!

My favorite theater experience has to be seeing Les Mis for the first time in London many moons ago. It was one of the old theatres that was about as tall as it was deep. I was sitting in the front row of the first elevated tier and was instantly mesmerized. There was a white slip sticking out of the program which meant there was a substitute actor … generally it’s an understudy. To my shock and DELIGHT … it turned out to be Colm Wilkinson, the ORIGINAL, magnificent Jean Val Jean! How lucky was I?!?
Anyway, the show had me on the edge of my seat, and when “Do You Hear The People Sing” finished at intermission, I let out the longest exhale and realized I’d been holding my breath the whole time!
Needless to say, I’m a huge fan. I think I’ve seen it at least 9 times in various venues.

My favorite concerts have been Steely Dan and Kenny Loggins (not together) at an outdoor venue on Maui, Adele at the St. Paul Civic Center in Minnesota, and Colbie Caillet back on Maui … with a surprise guest appearance by Mick Fleetwood (Colbie’s dad produced several of the Fleetwood Mac albums).
