Oh, that I could pick just one event in my life...
Perhaps when my maternal grandfather's first cousin Johnny Weissmuller came to my 6th birthday party, I can't describe the status upgrade this gave to my social standing at Starkey Elementary in 1962.
Later in life, maybe getting to meet and shake hands with President Regan in 1982.
If I am to restrict my choices to public events/performances, then maybe watching my daughter performing live on stage at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
I have been to hundreds of noteworthy events in my life. Coming from a hardworking, prosperous family has afforded me more privilege than most folks, which is why I seldom turn down an opportunity to help in my community.
I am even getting better at paying things forward.
Did I mention I have lived an incredible life so far? I may be, in fact, the luckiest man alive.
(minor note/admission picture is now 16 years older. I wear much more grey in my hair and beard)
