My favorite building that I have personally visited and which I do not have an emotional attachment to would be the Live Oaks Friends Meeting House in Houston, Texas. The building features a permanent installation by the artist James Turrell, known as the Skyspace.

And I had to put those qualifiers in so I could narrow it down to one building!
