I did the online search after writing this and found that they are sold in the States (I hadn't realised that). But, too late, I wasn't going to rewrite all that!

It;s true that you can cook all sorts of things in the sandwich maker (some people swore by eggs and beans) but I never had great success with that . For me, it had to begin with cheese. *Wink*
