Oh, it's worse than that. Foster's in the US isn't even imported from Australia. There's a brewery in TX and I seem to recall it coming from Canada for a while (which at least spells things like Australia does). Additionally, they recently lowered the ABV even further to cut costs.

In general, mass-produced, heavily marketed "beer" is piss, but we already knew that.

I don't know many more details about Foster's because, apart from having tried it once (I'll try almost anything labeled "beer" once), it's on my Ignore list along with Coors, Buttwiper, and Miller.

I do have to agree, though, that Belgian beer is the best.
