Some years are a great success and others, they have different results. But it's okay. I wouldn't call any writing of length to be an epic fail. And I've had years much like that where I had all the intentions to write a lot but get barely anything done.

You made progress. That is good. Whatever count you end at will be more than you had in October, so that's a good point. Hopefully this new angle will keep the story going. If not, you can write something else or make different goals in December.
