It sounds like you didn't go to Manage Album after you loaded your photos into the album. Click on Manage Album, and you should see your photos listed with the capability of re-ordering the photos using the numbers in the text windows. Once done, click on Update Order.

Then you can View Album to verify your photos are loaded.
