Isn't it freakish: they're just happening some 200+ miles from where I live.

Well my faves are

WATER sports: swimming (Gold for Lukas Märtens, 400m freestyle), rowing, canoeing, high diving, etc.

and

ATHLETICS

and a few

BALLS (soccer, basketball, etc.)


As mentioned in the comment to your NF-post, sometimes – while waiting for above-mentioned – "curiosities":

– like Michael Jung's Gold triumph in eventing.



Very entertaining – and emotional! – games till now.


But the Opening Ceremony was WAY over the top. But were talking about the feckin' French, so what do you expect?
