Poltergeist! But only by chance – I didn't want to watch it. I woke up, my mum had fallen asleep in front of the TV, and in there was a little girl reaching for a TV filled with White Noise...

For nearly a decade to come, I'd freak out and run when I saw a TV with White Noise.

That only ceased when I became a teen, and realized that part of that "Schnee" consists of Cosmic Background Radiation. And – zack! – it was cool, and no longer scary. (Can you tell I'm a space nerd, eh?)
