Most Japanese words are easier to pronounce than English. For example NaTo {slur together words gnaw toe} is way easier to say than fermented beans. Omu Rice {pronounced Ohm rice} is easier to say than ketchup and rice with egg on top. Honestly most Japanese words follow a pattern of alternating consonates and vowels that those of us with buck teeth find much easier to pronounce than "she sells sea shells by the sea shore." Reading it is a different story. I think a little Wagyu would go nicely at a BBQ. {Wah-gyou: the Japanese equivalent of western style beef.} On an unrelated note, I have no idea why I just used winged brackets for all the pronunciation guides. |
