Based on ample anecdotal evidence of both upstanding fatherless households, as well as households with fathers that are near morality-free zones, I'm not sure I agree with the premise that a father's presence is the determinative factor in whether morality exists in a home. Unless the argument is that the very existence of single mothers and/or orphans is somehow inherently immoral... but that would be an even more problematic belief, at least as far as my Christian worldview is concerned. |
