A limerick poem is a short, humorous verse that is made up of five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines rhyme, and the third and fourth lines rhyme. The rhyme scheme is always AABBA.

Ann was a beautiful, simple girl
Every blonde lock on her had had a curl
Sadly though, Ann was not friendly
Ann slapped his face for a mere hello, poor Henry
Abruptly, she turned and her skirt did twirl!

My dream is complete, I finally have a blue house
The only thing I need is a new blue blouse
But I can't figure out the mystery of my missing cheese
No matter the type, it disappears with a sneeze
Surely I must see about evicting a mouse!
