I personally usually just let it go. Very seldomly, I will decide to explain the poem further in my response to their review, but that doesn't happen often. I'm getting to the point that either they'll get it or they won't. And while my poetry will be around for a while, I won't be alive forever to continue to explain what I meant when I wrote it the way I did.
