Prior to moving here, I'd only lived in New York State and the New England areas. When I lived with my parents, our house had air conditioning, which was the exception. My dad handled everything. I knew nothing about the inner workings. When I married and moved, none of the upper state homes had a/c. It was freaking hot. And then, when I moved here, the house had air conditioning that stopped working. I called the owner and he checked the filter. He asked why I never replaced it. So embarrassing. I had no idea what he was talking about.

I have too many Florida stories.
