October Novel Prep Challenge

I've been thinking of more ways to be killed or get killed.
Being hit by a meteor, run over by a garbage truck, bit by a brown recluse spider, being stabbed with a knitting needle.

Now you may think the spider bite is a minor injury - but personal observation. A lady here in town got bit last winter. She was days away from serious health problems, even death. The blood poisoning spread up her arm, almost to her shoulder from a bite near her wrist. Her arm swelled, twice its size, it left a big abscess, and she spent a week in hospital on mega antibiotics to get the infection under control. Wicked little buggers. I saw the after effects.
