I agree with Lilli. I put funds aside to save for the purchase and future costs, researched cell service providers, and then selected the cell service that was offering me the best service price and a discount on the cell phone. Now it is within my reach where ever I am. Contact numbers, speed dial for people I need to reach promptly, taking photos; it is used more as a mini computer than a telephone. At least where I live, there are very few public telephones (that actually work) available if I needed immediate assistance in an emergency. Having a cell phone has become a necessity.
