Home Economics in the sense of finance / insurance / etc. would be greatly appreciated by students in school here, nowadays.

Even those just having finished their Abitur don't know a flying fart about check booking or which insurances are mandatory, or how many taxes they may get back from their student job (during school and university)... me included.*Pthb*

If you didn't choose business Gymnasium / High School (I chose the science classes), you didn't learn that, basta. (I went to a Montessori comprehensive school, from kindergarten to several versions of Gymnasium, as mentioned.)
