The Science Fiction Short Story Contest

This story has some mythical creatures. I wanted to explain who they were in a dropnote. For example: Taos is an enormous being covered in armour with a weak point being a vein that runs all the way through his body.

Just an explanation of who he is for reference. I don't need to do that but I though it would explain for people who are not familiar with the creatures from mythology like myself. However, I didn't want it to count for words because I've already used 2000.
