Come answer a question, share a laugh, encourage one another, and bring me a coffee! |
A question like that makes me wonder about the questioner's income, investments, or inheritance, 'cause us po' peepul buys whats us c'n affo'd. I'll avoid peanut butter not labeled "Jif" or instant coffee not labeled "Folgers", due to cost & quality issues. I won't buy "Tyson" if avoidable, not because of the 1975 study commissioned by the Meat Packer's Assoc to test antibiotic resistance of assorted bacteria in meat production (which they swept under the carpet and never repeated, revealed by a FOIA query about a decade ago), but because I don't think their quality justifies their asking price. (Would I go back to raising chickens, again, after a five-decade hiatus, if I could? Yes, but they wouldn't be fed the commercial feed overfilled with antibiotics, this time. No wonder the geese and ducks couldn't be allowed any. Poison to them.) I pretty much avoid processed foods, although I do buy hot chocolate mix. (Gotta have my morning cuppa hot choco-coffee.) Classes and categories, but really no brands. People don't realize the questions they ask can potentially reveal things about them. Not always. |
