The Contest Challenge

Future entries should have the contest title in the forum post title. I like to go through quickly and see which contests aren't getting enough love so I can try to get extra entries for them. I like every contest to get 5 entries from me.

If you are planning to do makeup entries to finish a year sooner, you can check the dropnotes with the Previously Highlighted Contests listed so you can see what contests you should be entering for each month. It's all the same--current prompt (no matter how far back you are trying to make up), title of contest, proof you entered with {post:XXXXXXX}, but also add the month and year you are catching up so you get the proper credit. That goes next to the contest title in the forum post title on here. So, for example, if you wanted to do a November entry, your post title would be "Monthly Micro-Stories Contest's Forum--November 2022" or something like that. There are examples of how to post a current and a catchup entry listed just above the forum, in case you forget.

Also, a heads up that I MIGHT be shutting this down January 2024. We'll see. I've been thinking about it a lot. It would have been 7 years at that point. Though I might try to push through to 10 years. I don't know yet. Anyway, if you want to do ALL the catchup entries and be in the Giant January Celebration for 2024, that could be your last chance for a while...or ever. Though if you just want to do 12 consecutive months, that's fine as well. But if you want to do the entire catchup, pace yourself so you don't get burned out. But also, do the math so you don't have to write 3 entries a day the last month.
