The Contest Challenge

No worries about skipping around. Mainly, I just don't want people to end up 15 months later without having done 12 consecutive months. But at your rate, I'm not worried. However, I've seen folks with a TON of contests, like 20 or so and I swear they are purposely trying not to get 12 in a row! One finally did. But I think I might have another who still has quite a few that aren't connected. Anyway, sometimes you do have to skip a month because nothing is open...or you don't like the prompt...or you don't like the contest choices and are hoping another will open.

If you've waited a while and really want one to open up, if it's not obviously something that only opens at certain times (like a Christmas contest, for example), feel free to contact the contest owner. Sometimes they've been pondering reopening a contest and your email might be just the thing to encourage them to do it. Or maybe they meant to take it off hiatus, but haven't gotten around to it, but when someone shows interest, they'll go ahead and make that move. Plus, even if they don't reopen it, it's always nice to have someone express interest in your contest.

Anyway, keep up the impressive work...but be sure you don't burn out.
