The good news is that your Instant Pot was not killed! Thank goodness! I have a Ninja Foodi and did pretty much the same thing once, phew!

Good job on getting dinner done and the assignment too! I hope you had fun with the grands - I know I do when mine stop by - it's tiring, but fun!
