Oh no! I love this book so much! But yes, you can read another if CMBYN doesn't work for you.

I would like to suggest checking out the movie Call Me By Your Name. The book rather has a poetic writing style and a lot of internal thoughts of the main character with very little to no action at all which doesn't appeal to everyone. The movie tho might clear out some of these frustrations. It captured those internal thoughts through a nice atmospheric and artistic idyll somewhere in Northern Italy 1983 . And the acting, of course, was on top in my humble opinion. Timothee Chalamet won the best actor in the Academy Awards, the screenplay also won 3 major awards. I'm always happy to recommend this book and movie and add people to its fan base .
