Form of the Week: Tetractys This is a poetic form invented by English poet, Ray Stebbing. The tetractys is a poem of 5 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 syllables – a total of 20 syllables. Tetractys poems may have more than one verse, but each successive verse must be inverted. Double tetractys syllables per line: 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 10, 4, 3, 2, 1 Tetractys may also be reversed and written 10, 4, 3, 2, 1.
