My Trichain ... Away from It All I love to walk a rural lane along the fields of corn and grain. It calms my heart and soothes my brain to breathe the country air. When wind blows through the distant trees, the calling birds, the hum of bees, I feel my worries start to ease. There’s peace and still, so rare. And if, from clouds so high and tall, a gentle rain begins to fall, it doesn’t bother me at all. I feel a healing there. ~ ~ ~ 12 lines poetry form: Trichain (consists of 3 or more 4-line stanzas; first 3 lines of each stanza written in iambic tetrameter and last line is iambic trimeter; rhyme scheme of aaab cccb dddb, etc.) (09.19.20) |
