The Octain Refrain was invented by English poet Luke Prater. Its structure consists of eight lines with eight syllables per line, divided into two tercets followed by a couplet. The rhyme scheme is Abb a(c/c)a bA, where the first line is the refrain repeated in the last line and the fifth line has internal rhyming in lieu of end rhymes, My Shepherd, My Lord By Lisa Noe I follow my Lord everywhere I love Him, He is my Shepherd. I know I am part of His herd. I know that He loves me and cares, I dare myself , love to declare In my family, love we share. I am glad I know all His words. I follow my Lord everywhere. |
