30DBC: Storytime: Which items in your home have a story of how they came to be there.
I sleep on a queen size bed. Not exactly by choice. My neighbor down the hall moved to San Diego. The mattress was too large, too heavy or too whatever ... she took it down to the dumpster. I dragged it back up 2 flights of stairs. It takes up half of my one room. But no problem! I have a book case sitting on top of it with part of my VHS collection and a double-size futon sits on top of the rest and wedges the shelving against the wall. Of course, it blocks the closet and would be better moved to the other side; but, don't ask how much of a chore that would be!
There is so little room in these two rooms. I'd rather have a single-bed bunk. I don't need anything wider, although a twin would be perfect. With bunkbeds I could hang dark drapes like a fourposter bed. It would be much better. But, one should not complain too much about free 'gifts'.
