In order to highlight the talent within our group, this week we are featuring the Garden Lace, which was invented by our own Roseille ♥ (353) . The Garden Lace is structured in a series of tercets with an interlocking rhyme scheme: ABA, BCB, CDC, DED, EAE. The first and second lines of each tercet have eight syllables each, while the third line has fourteen syllables Chewy rides again By Lisa Noe Again I’ll talk about Chewy And what he has done on this day He went and had his hair cut and now he is a beauty He whined the whole way there I say He don’t like to ride in the car I love baby chewy and he will always get his way On the way there we passed a few bars But I’d never stop, I don’t drink Chew was getting on my nerves, though it wasn’t very far He had a bath so he don’t stink Every week he has a good bath But my nerves are now on the brink I am calm with him, there’s no rath He is my sweet baby boy My darling baby is always able to make me laugh. |
