Re: Form of the week: Traditional Mongolian Meter

Traditional Mongolian Meter is structured in any number of quatrains with 7 or 8 syllables per line. The distinguishing feature of this form is that the rhyming comes at the front, rather than the end, of each line, and alliteration is a significant element, as described and demonstrated in the following link: www.poetrymagnumopus.com/topic/630-traditional-mongolian-meter/ .

Christmas time
By Lisa noe

Christmas comes but once a year
Thus bringing to all the folks good cheer
Giving gifts wrapped in green and gold
Decorating with tinsel

Never let us forget Jesus
For the reason of the season, is God
Happy hearts heard singing with joy
Sappy sons sing not of good faith
