...or the story stops you and mine isn't. I just wrote my main characters into a love story contest here in the land of the WdC. The story just kept on going until it changed the opponent in the novel into an entirely new position where she fits better.

I can see why some novels take years to gain polish and grace. Do you see the end of your's arriving soon or is it still evolving?
