Ah, you mention my unfair advantage. I'm retired and have very little to do but write and annoy people in WdC. Funnily enough, when I was young I had ambitions of being a great painter as well as a writer. I reached a point where one of them had to go, however, and that proved to be painting. Writing comes so much easier to me.

The relief of stress is interesting. I found that, once I'd given up hope of publication, all the stress disappeared and writing became much more of a pleasure than before.
