The Scallop is a poetic stanza form invented by Marie L Blanche Adams. It consists of any number of six line stanzas with syllable counts of 2, 4, 6, 6, 4, 2 syllables per line and a rhyme scheme of abccba deffed ghiihg etc., as demonstrated in the following links:
