Well, that was quite a list of conversation starts, bobturn Your wife seems to have the right idea
Let's see. ooh, I know. I have a question. Has anyone here ever written a story that takes place somewhere they've never been to? How did it turn out? Did you research it a lot or just wing it?
When I first started writing fiction at the age of...10 or so, I wrote a lot of stories in Connecticut. I don't know why. I've never been anywhere near there. We didn't have Google in the late 80s, early 90s, so no real research as I was too lazy to go searching encyclopedias. But, my early stories really could have taken place anywhere and sucked just as bad.
