I contemplate the turning points in my life, Inhale the moments that I left behind, Exhale epiphanies generated by joy and strife, Metaphors and similes of virtues I gained. My spirit looks back across the years, Meditates on the lessons that I learned, While my brains wants to focus on the fears, That I discarded on my highways twists and turns. Ahead I see the demarcation line, The point where body and soul separate, Where my soul steps into the realm divine, And my body decomposes into dust. The virtues my soul takes into paradise, Are those developed in at the turning points, When epiphanies changed the course of my life, And revealed to me the Glory of God. |
