Actually, my first thought was to pick a musician, but I studied piano enough to know that knowledge and talent for that instrument are not enough. You also must have the physical dexterity and strength. It would be easier to pick those up, of course, if you could pick up the mental equipment first, but it's still not a gimme. Maybe there wouldn't be the same constraints with the guitar or some other instruments, but I decided I'd use the band for something that would be almost purely mental in its advantages.

It was the same worries that led me away from picking anyone with athletic talent.
