Sounds fun. YA does provide a wide range for different writers since it's an age range, not so much a "genre" itself. So, many genres can be used. For a while there was a YA focused group on WDC but unfortunately it's hard to keep active online as people tend to come and go, so it didn't last. But there are still a fair number of YA writers around.
