Goals 10/22-10/26: Write, Write, Write Your Stuff

Now that I’ve had the weekend to recover, I’m feeling much, much better. I’m so thankful! The last couple of weeks were rough, and I hate the impact it’s had on all my goals, but especially my writing ones. I barely have a week left to write and edit a story to complete my “story a month goal” for October. I’ve made it every other month and I’d be miserable if I didn’t make it this month! I mean I only have three months/stories to go! So I think my goals for this week really need to revolve around that. I’m not going to make the initial word count goal for the month -- that would take well over 1,000 words a day and I know myself and my circumstances at the moment well enough to know that’s not going to happen, but the story thing really matters.

So, here’s how I want to break it down:

1) At least 500 words a day. Not just an average for the week, I need to do at least 500 words every day. Not 700 one day and 300 the next. If I do 700 one day I still need to do 500 the next.
2) Write a rough draft for my November blog post.
3) Write a rough draft for my short story so I can work on editing over the weekend and post by next Tuesday.

As a side note, I also need to make sure I’m getting decent amounts of rest each night. My injury is much better so here’s hoping a full recovery is right around the corner! And good luck to everyone working on goals this week. :D
