Ugh! My apologies. I just noticed the breakdown that I'm supposed to answer. Do you review Non-fiction? Very seldom. Unless I feel moved by it in some way, I usually review fiction only. If no, why not? I prefer fiction. I work full-time on non-fiction. That's why I reserve fiction for after hours. Well, usually. There are exceptions. If I have a mood swing and decided to read a non-fiction or I want to get to know a person more, scour through their port, I'd review everything I can, including non-fiction. Between shorts, novels, poetry and non-fiction, non-fiction is my second choice. If yes, what types/genres? Besides blogs, hmmm... factual stuff. Things I can learn from. One of my ultimate favourite non-blog items in WDC is about Earth Ship. I learnt so much from that article, I did a little investigation on my own and it became my dream home. That is the impact of an awesome non-fiction. Do you have suggestions for reviewing Non-fiction? If the message gets through and if you can get people like me to read it for fun, it's good. Having a structure helps. Reading more non-fiction helps you identify what is it about non-fiction that compels you to read more and what you as a reader seek to learn when you read. Do you look for entertainment or relaxation? Do you want to know more about the subject? Do you read to feel inspired? It influences the structure greatly. If it achieves its objective, the writer nailed it. Fairy ☮ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
