Yes Eyestar your newsletter prompted me to commit to writing a poem for each day and principal during Kwansaa.. So far I am writing each day but not very happy with the results. Maybe it is because I see the African American community as so vibrant and alive and all I can up with are abstract thoughts when focusing on one of the principals .Also I've been hesitant to write a Kwansaba because I don't want to disrespect the culture or community with my ignorance. But inspired by your newsletter and now Dave's challenge I 'm going to keep rewriting until I have it right..
