It not too late, it only the 2nd. If you have an idea for a story an think you can average 1600 words a day you will finish. The idea is to get the basic story told, you need not worry about story editing, SPAG, or style points. There's no need, yet, for style sheets. Just write the story down. You have a year (or years) to perfect it later NaNoWriMo is about proving to yourself that you can create a story. Which is the first step. (granted the easiest part of novel writing, editing is the hard part.)

AS to how you post it in your port, most folks find it is best to use a book format because everything stays together and is easier for you fine, and your NANO counter will work.
