Hello from China!

I'm doing a sci-fi novel set in the year 2217 dealing with the immortality of humans, thanks to science.

Here is my "hook" or excerpt that I have included on my NaNo page.

“For centuries, mankind has sought after eternal youth and immortality. When it seemed that science wouldn’t provide answers to our ancestors, they turned to medical treatments like plastic surgery and botox injections. The reality was, as they spent thousands in hard earned money every year, they knew that they were only prolonging the inevitable. For them, death was the only option, in the end. But ladies and gentleman of 2217, I am proud to announce that we are living in a new era! We are no longer living for the purpose to die! Death is no longer an option! Welcome, my friends, to the Age of Immortality!”

I am currently 2709 words in, 5% complete according to my NaNoCounter which I think is super cool!
