October Novel Prep Challenge

I need a more tangible conflict, too. I have the whereabouts of it but not pinned down yet. Inciting incident will do for now. I may change it, later. I also need to name the other characters. I keep referring to those who are now in play in a roundabout way.

This is the first time in my several years of NaNo writing that I started thinking about the novel this late.
