I'm the same, sprint at first and then have words up my sleeve towards the count, if things get trickier as the month wears on. First week I reckon to aim for 3 or 4000 at least each day, even if it's crap. First day I might even get 5000, as I've already plenty swirling around in my head for the scene and characters setting. The other goal for day one is NOT to chomp through all my tasty goodies for sustaining the spirit!
