*Dollar* 50 GPs were sent to Arakun the Scary Raccoon Author Icon with this post.
After hours of horse play and fun, the Weavers began wrapping up their park outing. Slowly they packed up their picnic supplies, their Frisbees and water-guns and balls, their towels and wet clothes. “So lovely right now,” Helen Weaver sighed, stopping to take in her last view over the lake and the pink beginnings of sunset.
“Hold on, did we forget that other water-gun and Frisbee?” Evie had started looking at the stash of toy weapons in her brother’s bag.
“I looked and thought we had all of them!” Richard protested.
“It probably was where you couldn’t see it. I’ll get it.” She turned toward the lake.
“Maybe it’s in the bag, though.”
“Well, let’s look.” She grabbed the bag from her brother and began sifting through the contents. “No, they don’t seem to be here. Let’s look at the lake.” Evie ran toward the bank. Scanning the water, she pointed. “There’s the Frisbee, I can just see it. But where’s the water-gun?”
         “Be careful,” her mother cautioned.
But already Evie was scrambling down. “Where could it have gone…?” She disappeared from view. Suddenly she screamed.
The rest of the family ran to her. “What’s wrong?” asked Helen.
“There’s a skeleton!” Evie ran out from under the bank. “I realized there’s a hollow under the bank where maybe the water-gun could’ve floated away to, and there’s this horrible skeleton!”
         “Skeleton?”
“Yes!” panted Evie. “It’s toward the back, halfway out of the mud!”
         Richard went to the hollow.
“Richard, don’t!” called Helen, following after him. But already Richard was tracking through the mud.
“Oh my God, there is!” he called. “And the water-gun and Frisbee aren’t far from it!”
“I’m not going anywhere near them!” Evie declared. “And let’s get out of here!”
“Yes,” said Helen, “and let’s call the police.”
