About the raffle...

Okay, gang, time for a complete update...

As many of you know (since most of us have spoke at length about this), I have been given an invitation from eyestar~* Author Icon to make the Gold and Review raffle (we've been planning forever) more oriented around WdC's Sixteenth Birthdayâ„¢ and submit it to "Party Central Submission" Open in new Window. to be part of the official festivities of the website. With Storymistress' official endorsement, this means we would have a WAY better shot at being part of the event and gain more publicity instead if trying to fight the rapids of the Birthdayâ„¢ current.

Here is the Birthday™ version of our raffle—the Passkey is 16161616 (get it? Hehe) if you wanna take a look:

It's a different item than the original one, which I still have. In case it's not Birthday enough for the main celebration, I still have the original one in private until the decision is made (see? *Down*): Killed it... no point in keeping it. With that purty ribbon, we gotta keep that whether we're accepted or not! *Delight*

As far as I can see, we have nothing to lose, so I submitted the Birthday raffle yesterday. It does mean, though, that the raffle will have to start on September 1st either way, since I am not sure when we will get word on our acceptance status (it might not be until the day before festivities). I think I will still keep the generous prizes that Whata WackyBrew Author Icon and SB Musing Author Icon have donated to be able to compete with the Birthday stuff (thanks again, you two!).

Keep your fingers crossed, minions!
